The Furious Chase | PAW Patrol Fanfiction - Chapter Seven (2024)

It was the dawn of a new day in Adventure Bay and the new PAW Patrol couple woke up early in the morning. Skye and Max had decided to stay and sleep outdoors but in order not to make anyone suspicious they returned to the lookout and slept in separate places until it was time for breakfast.

The pups who were on the lookout got up with grumbling stomachs and headed to the kitchen where bowls full of dog food awaited them.

Ryder was sitting at the table looking at his phone, the boy was worried for two reasons, the first was that he had learned of the appointment between Max and Skye, and the second was that Chase had gone to Jake Mountain to talk to Everest to help Marshall, but he still did not know how it had ended.

Ryder knew that Max's arrival had struck the perfect balance that had been created over time, and that wasn't good. He got up from his chair and breathlessly went up to the mission room to think and analyze the situation.

Once he got to the top of the lookout he turned on the giant screen and began to create a kind of scheme with a program he had available.

Ryder thoughts:

The first triggering event is that Skye found Max and we took him to the lookout.
Most likely this event spawned a series of events such as Everest asking Marshall to stop Skye's love for Max.

Soon after, Skye and Max begin to fall in love with each other, but then Skye quarrels with Everest... This is strange, maybe Everest knew about the love between these two and therefore tried to stop Skye by failing?

Maybe it's because of the pain of losing a friend like Everest that Skye has been sick for some time.

Everest then quarrels with Marshall because he couldn't stop Skye from falling in love with Max. Chase supports Marshall but since the situation hasn't improved and Chase may have gone to talk to Everest at Jake Mountain. But all these series of events may have aroused Chase's attention by making him suspect something.

And now he's at Jake Mountain with Everest, just when Skye and Max got together, most likely. So Everest knew everything from the beginning, but Chase didn't. This is strange as he would never have let Skye get away from him unless she pushed him away.

End of Ryder's thoughts

The boy knew that the situation was very complicated and delicate, his assumptions could be wrong but he was certain of one thing, Chase had something to do with all this and he could soon learn about what happened and certainly he will not remain well, so Ryder will have to start preparing.

Meanwhile, the pups had just finished eating and went out to play in the yard but were stopped by Skye who had an important communication to do.

"What do you have to tell us, Skye?" Zuma askedin a hurry to go play.

"Please don't be upset but... Max and I got together!" Skye said excitedly.Rubble, Zuma, and Rocky were happy to hear it the three of them had helped Max with their appointment.

"Congratulations to you two!" Zuma said.

"Yeah, you two are a great couple." Rubble said.

Marshall pretended to be happy, had failed his mission and Everest could now be even angrier than before. "Congratulations,"Marshall said with a small smile.

"Okay, now let's play!" Rocky saidrunning towards a ball.

Marshall was sad and upset by the news of Skye, and so with bitterness, he decided not to play and to move as far away from the Lookout as possible so as not to show his sadness.

Marshall went to a forest near Adventure Bay, where the Dalmatian found the peace necessary to calm his emotions. He stopped in an area covered with little snow, and sat enduring the cold. At that moment Marshall was so upset that he didn't care about anything, not even the sensations he felt.

The Dalmatian began to cry, had failed in his mission, had lost Everest, and knew that Chase had come to find out everything and would take it out on him. His life at that moment was at its lowest point ever, and it was all his fault.

If he had carried out Everest's orders all this would not have happened, but by now the poor Dalmatian had resigned himself and continued to suffer surrounded by snow.

But the Dalmatian was not the only one to suffer, Chase had also been hit by a truck of conflicting emotions that could worsen if provoked.

Chase got up that morning without breakfast and went into the woods near Jake Mountain in an attempt to calm down but did not yet know the anger in his body, because he could not stop with trees or silence.

To counteract the anger there was also the sadness and despair that had taken possession of the German Shepherd. Chase was a bomb of emotions ready to explode, all it needed was a spark.

Chase walked through the snowy woods breathing deeply, feeling the cold enveloping his body and trying to think of positive things, but it didn't work out because his thoughts were only directed to the sweet co*ckapoo whom he still loved but that infuriated him for having betrayed his love and trust.

After the moments of anger, Chase fell into sadness and began to cry. Her tears began to melt the snow below. The state of mind of the German Shepherd played a bad joke on him because everywhere he went to him it seemed that the trees and animals of that forest knew of his failure and therefore mocked him.

He started running, the trees around him seemed to turn pitch black, the light disappeared and thoughts of Max and Skye who loved each other came to his head. Not making it anymore he screamed and then fainted surrounded by the white snow that seemed to cry for his pain.

Chase was found by Everest who worried about him, went looking for him, and found him unconscious, so she used her strength to drag him to the chalet, which at that moment was empty as Jake had gone out to run errands.

Chase woke up and to his surprise was at Jake's Chalet. His head hurt and he was cold, but at least his strong emotions had calmed down.

"You finally woke up,"Everest said offering the Shepherd a bowl of warm milk. "I was very worried about you, not seeing you at the chalet I followed your tracks and found you unconscious in the middle of a wood. What did you go there to do?"

"I wanted to try to calm my emotions, but unfortunately it didn't work. My head was exploding." Chase repliedstarting to drink the milk inside the bowl.

"I understand your state of mind Chase, but you can't solve it yourself."

"You're right Everest. So I have to go back to Adventure Bay and tell Skye how I feel before Max can make his move."Everest disagreed, afraid that Chase could do a lot of damage. The Husky knew his obsession with Skye was giving him the head.

"I don't know, maybestaying here at Jake Mountain is better for you," Everest said trying to convince Chase to stay.

"Why? The more time passes, the more I risk Skye being taken away from me, and I will also have to help Marshall with what you told him."

"If you stay at Jake Mountain I will help you overcome your anger and despair, and also the mountain is the safest place, so in case you want to hurt someone you will only have trees to hit."

"I will not hurt anyone! I can control my emotions!" Chase said, getting up and heading to the front door.

"Please Chase, don't return to Adventure Bay!You don't know how your emotions will react!"

"Think of yourself Everest, are you the one who should control your emotions, or do you want to lose other friends?"Chase said arrogantly before leaving Everest that she was still thinking about what he had said.

Before long, Chase left the Chalet with his vehicle, angry and desperate. He knew he had hurt Everest but he couldn't stand by helplessly watching Skye get together with Max.

Everest began to cry knowing that Chase's words were true and that he had lost his closest friends and could no longer mend his relationship.
