Self Advocacy is..
Speaking for ourselves to improve our quality of life. we conduct fundraising activities to enable members to attend workshops that encourage, enhance and teach new skills. We meet people to gain social skills.
Issues:
Self-Advocacy means speaking and acting for oneself. People may need help learning new skills through training, experience and practice which allow people to make decisions about their own lives.
Many people in the community still have not accepted the fact that individuals with mental retardation must speak, choose and act for themselves.

Advisors contribute to the expansion of skills and relationship values to the self-advocates. They contribute their own expertise in chosen fields of interacting with self-advocates. Advisors are the key that enables each person to learn how to participate meaningfully in community activities.
